    Advantages of Nitrox:

    • Diving with Nitrox reduces the risk of decompression sickness, provides a relaxed and non-“foggy” feeling during dives, and can help reduce post-dive fatigue. It is especially beneficial for repetitive diving or cold water diving.
    • Course Benefits: The PADI Enriched Air Nitrox course focuses on increasing safety, enhancing comfort, and allowing for extended dive times without decompression limits.

Course Preparation: Preparation for the course involves answering all questions in the manual and mastering the use of dive tables, including the specific Nitrox tables provided. Assistance is available for understanding the regular air RDP (Recreational Dive Planner) if needed.

    Sidemount

Summary of the Sidemount Diving Course:

In the Sidemount Course, you will learn how to use and configure one or two air tanks. In this case, the tanks are not attached to your back but rather positioned laterally. This setup allows you to adjust underwater aerodynamics in a different way and alleviate strain on your back, thereby maximizing your dive duration by providing additional breathing gas.

During Sidemount diving, the tanks are placed under the diver’s arm. This configuration offers clear advantages and is highly suitable for various circumstances, particularly popular for cave diving. Individual tanks are easier to transport, which proves useful when divers need to carry their equipment through challenging terrain to reach cave entrances.

    Advantages of Sidemount Diving:

    • Adaptability: Optimizes underwater aerodynamics and body positioning, enhancing control over interaction with the environment.
    • Accessibility: Provides better access to the levels of the automatic regulator and tank valves, as they are located in front of you rather than behind your head.
    • Back Relief: Due to the lateral tank arrangement, reducing strain on your back.
    • Maximization of Dive Time: Offers a comfortable option for additional breathing gas provision, particularly beneficial for maximizing dive time, especially when using Enriched Air Nitrox.
    • Separate Gas Systems: In case of gas shortage for breathing, you can switch to the second tank. In the event of a technical failure of one regulator, you can switch to the regulator on the second tank.

This course includes a shallow water practice dive and three open water dives to put what you’ve learned into practice.
